eMedsim is part of The Sarla Group of software companies. Founded by entrepreneur Fenil Shah, the mission of eMedsim is to leverage the power of animation, interactivity and simulation to drastically improve medical education. eMedsim offers software based simulation for medical education. The simulation is interactive, life like and comprehensive. It is available on PCs, smart phones and tablets. Being fully interactive with multiple scenarios, it helps the student better retain and refresh material, makes it easy to use and distribute all over the world, provides a solid foundation for clinical decision making and provides a superior comprehensive e-learning experience. Initially, simulation based learning for Hyperbaric treatment is being offered and subsequently simulation for emergency medicine will be available.

Management

Fenil Shah, CEO and Founder

Fenil Shah is a successful serial entrepreneur and brings 20 years of experience in software product development and business management to eMedsimulations. In the past two decades he was involved in the successful launch of two companies under The Sarla Group umbrella. Each of the companies was subsequently acquired and their products, technologies, and services are still in use today. Most recently, Fenil was the co-founder and CEO of iSarla Inc. where he developed and marketed iEmployee (www.iemployee.com), a hosted HR and payroll software solution. iSarla was acquired by Asure Software (NASDAQ: ASUR) in 2007. Prior to iEmployee he launched Sarla Software, LLC to develop quality control software and provide IT consulting contract services for users of Ceridian Corporation’s (www.ceridian.com) payroll products. The consulting contract was acquired by Ceridian (NASDAQ:CEN) in 2002. Fenil has published several papers, both in automation and medical simulation in leading industry journals.

Jeff Dumas, Chief Technology Consultant

Jeff is a 15 year veteran of the software industry and an early pioneer of Software as Service solutions. He was the key contributor in the development of iEmployee, which was one of the first cloud computing software services available for the HR/payroll industry. His product development team overcame the early challenges of the Software as a Service platform and was instrumental in the success of iEmployee. Today there are over 40,000 users of the iEmployee hosted time and attendance HRIS system. Jeff will play a significant role in the development and support of eMedSim.

Jeffrey Hutchinson, Finance and Accounting Consultant

Jeffrey brings with him 10 years of executive accounting and financial management experience. Most recently, he provided financial management consulting services for two manufacturing companies. From 2002 to 2006, he helped iSarla Inc. (www.sarlatech.com) secure venture funding and closely monitored company operations to help achieve profitability goals.

Akash Dave, Director of Engineering

Akash has 20 years of experience managing e-learning and SaaS-based product development efforts in large set-ups, including definition, software development, IT and Quality Assurance. Akash has been instrumental in building and executing large engineering team set-ups at iEmployee, Navneet Edutainment (a fully owned subsidiary of Navneet Publications India Limited). He has successfully managed and sold an ILT based corporate training company. With a legacy of experience in e-learning, SaaS software development, user-experience, retail and entrepreneurship, Akash manages the Content, Product, Marketing & Administration of the company.

Dr. Jigna Dalal, Medical Specialist

Dr Jigna Shrotriya brings with her 4 years of experience in clinical critical care and emergency administrative experience with her. Most recently she commissioned critical care services for 300 bedded critical care units in a private hospital, which is one of Asia’s largest private setup with 1500 beds. Her previous commitments included quality accreditation for Joint Commission International and National board for Accreditation of Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH). She has worked in close conjunction with clinicians, Nursing and Ancillary staff and Top management to ensure smooth functioning of critical care units, Cardiac Catheterisation Labs & Emergency services.

Amit Makwana, Business Manager

Amit brings with him 10 years of experience in Software industry. From 2001 to 2009, he worked with iSarla Inc, in capacity of Business analyst, Product implementation and Product Manager. He was the key contributor in the development of requirement document and product planning of Time and Attendance module in iEmployee. As Business Manager, he looks after product marketing, market research, business development and sales activities.
